Hello, I’m Najib Ferdous, a tourism professional from Bangladesh and the founder of Evergreen Bangladesh Tours. I feel proud to introduce Bangladesh’s vibrant colours, its unique atmosphere, its rich culture and, above all, its wonderful people to the world.

From student guide to founder

I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Dhaka. I started guiding international travellers while I was still a student there, and I have been working as a tour manager since 2016.

I am also an advocate. Law is my profession, but travel is my passion, so whenever the courts are closed you will find me back on the road with our guests.

What I want to show you

My mission is to show the hidden beauty of Bangladesh, especially its rural communities, remote destinations and authentic local experiences that most international travellers never get to see.

Bangladesh, with its six beautiful seasons, is my canvas. Through travel I hope to connect people from across the world with the soul of Bangladesh: its nature, its culture, its traditions and its extraordinary people.

Barry Hoffner, who has travelled to every country on Earth, writes about exploring Dhaka with Najib in his book Belonging to the World: A Journey from Grief to Connection in Every Country on Earth. Barry calls Bangladesh “one of the most underrated travel destinations in the world” and has recommended Najib and Evergreen Bangladesh Tours to fellow travellers on NomadMania.

From our team

Najib founded Evergreen Bangladesh Tours and today advises our team. He brought Raihan into guiding, along with many other young people, and many of our guides first learnt the job travelling alongside him. He still guides some trips himself when he has time, especially in December.

In the press

Barry Hoffner, who has travelled to every country on Earth, explored Dhaka with me and wrote about it in Travelmag, in an essay on the countries that changed him most. He quoted me: “Bangladesh is poor, but that is not the only thing that defines it.”

Barry Hoffner October 2026 Review on NomadMania

I had a wonderful experience exploring Bangladesh with Evergreen Tours and my guide, Najib. Najib was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, making the trip feel personal and relaxed. His insights into the country’s history, culture and everyday life added so much to the experience. I had some “outside the box” experiences that you may not find with other guides that made the trip memorable. What stood out most was his warmth and willingness to help. He made it easy to connect with local people and appreciate the incredible hospitality of Bangladesh. Having someone with local knowledge taking care of the details meant I could relax and enjoy the journey. A big thank you to Najib and Evergreen Tours for a memorable trip. I would happily recommend them to anyone planning to visit Bangladesh!

Bangladesh is a very underrated country. The people, their hospitality and engaging nature, the sights, the diversity, the culture. Evergreen provides all the comforts of a great tour company and with the friendliness and personal qualities as if traveling with friends. I highly recommend.
