Who is responsible

Evergreen Bangladesh Tours, 121/3-C Ibrahimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, is responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, email evergreenbdtours@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you and to run your tour:

• Enquiries: your name, email, WhatsApp number if you give it, travel dates, group size and anything you tell us in your message.
• Bookings: the names, nationality and passport details of travellers (needed for hotels, permits and visa letters), dietary and medical needs you choose to share, and payment records.
• Messages: the emails and WhatsApp messages you send us.
• Website use: technical data such as your IP address and browser, kept in server logs for security, and, only if you accept analytics cookies, how you use our pages (pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, device type and approximate location).

We do not ask for card numbers on this website.

If children travel with you, we collect their details only from the adult who books for them.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal (steps you asked for before a contract).
• To book hotels, transport, permits and guides and to run your tour (performing our contract with you).
• To keep accounts and meet legal duties in Bangladesh (legal obligation).
• To keep this website secure (our legitimate interest).
• To see how visitors use this website so we can improve it, through analytics (only with your consent).

With your permission only, we may ask you for a review after your trip. We never send marketing emails without your consent, and we never sell your data.

Who we share it with

We share only what each one needs:

• hotels, boat operators, drivers and guides who provide your tour;
• government offices when a permit or visa letter needs it;
• our service providers: our website host and Cloudflare (security and fast delivery of this website), our email and webmail providers, and WhatsApp (Meta), which we use to message you;
• banks, payment processors and money transfer services that handle your payments and refunds;
• only if you accept cookies: Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity), which measure how this website is used, and Tripadvisor, whose review badge we show at the bottom of every page;
• courts, police, tax offices and other government or legal authorities when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect our rights, our guests or others.

Some of these providers are outside Bangladesh and outside the European Economic Area. Where we use them, we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.

Cookies

Necessary cookies keep this website working and secure, so they are always on. Cloudflare may set a security cookie (such as __cf_bm) to stop bots, our forms use a short-lived security token and Cloudflare Turnstile (which checks your browser and IP address to confirm a real person is sending the form, without advertising cookies), and your currency and light or dark mode choices are stored in your own browser. Your cookie choice itself is remembered in a cookie called egbd_consent for up to 12 months.

Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them. Google Analytics (cookies starting with _ga, kept for up to 2 years) counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Microsoft Clarity (_clck and _clsk, kept for up to 1 year) shows how our pages are used through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity runs in strict masking mode, so the text on the page and anything you type are hidden from the recordings. We do not use these tools for advertising.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also gives us simple visit counts without using cookies or identifying you.

Tripadvisor badge: the “Recommended on Tripadvisor” badge at the bottom of every page loads from Tripadvisor only if you accept cookies. Tripadvisor then sets its own cookies (such as TASession and TAUnique) under its own privacy policy.

On your first visit we ask before any analytics or Tripadvisor cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you reject, we stop loading these tools and remove the analytics cookies set on this website. Cookies that Tripadvisor set on its own website can be deleted in your browser settings.

Some pages show maps from Google Maps or videos from YouTube, which may set their own cookies when they load.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within two years. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Bangladeshi tax law requires, then deleted. Google Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months; Microsoft Clarity keeps recordings for 30 days and summary data for up to 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• see the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it;
• delete it, where we do not have to keep it by law;
• limit or object to how we use it;
• send it to you or to another company in a common format;
• withdraw a consent you gave.

Email evergreenbdtours@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Keeping it safe

Only the people who plan and run your tour can see your details. Passport copies are deleted once your tour has ended and they are no longer needed.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
