Local guides who show you Bangladesh in full

Evergreen Bangladesh Tours is a small, Dhaka-based team of guides and planners. We run private tours only, for travellers who want to see the real country: the old lanes of Dhaka, the mangroves of the Sundarbans, the tea hills of Sylhet and the ruined cities in between.

Why we started

Most visitors arrive in Bangladesh knowing very little about it, and many leave calling it the highlight of their travels in Asia. The country has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the largest mangrove forest on earth and some of the warmest hospitality you will find anywhere. What it lacks is easy travel: signs are in Bangla, roads are busy and the best places are hard to reach alone.

We started Evergreen Bangladesh Tours to close that gap. Our guides grew up here, speak English, and know which ferry runs on time, where the best kacchi biryani in Old Dhaka is and when to reach the Sixty Dome Mosque before the crowds. We plan every trip around the people taking it, and we stay with you from airport arrival to departure.

I have traveled around Bagladesh with Raihan Morshed on an 8 day tour. We visited Saidpur, Puthia, Rajashahi, Bagerhat, Sundarbans and Dhaka. We traveled by plane, private car and boat. Bangladesh may not be as popular as some other destinations in Asia, but in my humble opinion it is a beautiful country with amazing historical and cultural sights, kind, hospitable people, excellent food and perfectly safe destination. Raihan was an excellent guide, he spoke very good English, was knowledgeable about his country and was very attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend him and his company without any reservations whatsoever!

I had a wonderful experience exploring Bangladesh with Evergreen Tours and my guide, Najib. Najib was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, making the trip feel personal and relaxed. His insights into the country’s history, culture and everyday life added so much to the experience. I had some “outside the box” experiences that you may not find with other guides that made the trip memorable. What stood out most was his warmth and willingness to help. He made it easy to connect with local people and appreciate the incredible hospitality of Bangladesh. Having someone with local knowledge taking care of the details meant I could relax and enjoy the journey. A big thank you to Najib and Evergreen Tours for a memorable trip. I would happily recommend them to anyone planning to visit Bangladesh!

I traveled to Bangladesh for my 40th birthday with a very personal goal: to learn more about my great-grandfather’s roots in Tajpur, a small town outside Sylhet. Raihan and his amazing driver made this such a special experience.
They thoughtfully tailored my itinerary around what mattered to me, giving me time to explore my family’s roots while also making room to rest and enjoy my birthday. That balance was exactly what I needed, and I really appreciated how accommodating they were throughout the trip.
They were both incredibly sweet, friendly, and caring, and I felt very safe with them. I’m also vegan, and they made sure I was well fed, which meant so much to me.
Although I still need another clue to pinpoint my great-grandfather’s village, this trip was a meaningful step in that journey. I definitely plan to return once I have more information, and I would happily explore with them again. Thank you, Raihan and your wonderful driver, for making my 40th birthday so memorable!
