What your guide does for you

Every tour comes with a guide from our own team. You are never handed to a stranger or a freelancer you have not met.

A guide from our own team

Not an agency list. You see who will travel with you.

  • Each guide has a profile page, so you can read about them before you book.
  • Founder Najib Ferdous has guided travellers in Bangladesh since 2016 and still guides some trips himself, especially in December.
  • Abu Raihan Morshed has guided our guests since 2021.
  • English is our working language. Najib also speaks Bangla, Hindi and basic Urdu.
  • One guide for the whole trip, so you are not passed from person to person.

With you every day

From the moment you land until you leave.

  • Explains the history, food, faith and daily life of each place you visit.
  • Translates for you at markets, villages and homes, so you can talk to people.
  • Handles tickets, permits, boats and hotel check-ins.
  • Knows which areas to visit when, and changes the plan if roads or weather need it.

How it works

  1. Choose a tour or plan your own

Pick one of our private tours, or tell us where you want to go and we plan it.

  2. Meet your guide online

We tell you who your guide will be. Ask them anything on WhatsApp before you fly.

  3. Travel together

Your guide meets you on arrival and stays with you until you leave Bangladesh.

Why a local guide helps in Bangladesh

Few signs in English

Outside Dhaka most signs, menus and timetables are in Bangla. Your guide reads them for you and finds the places that are not on maps.

Respect for local customs

Mosques, temples, villages and indigenous areas each have their own customs. Your guide tells you what is welcome and when to ask before taking photos.

Permits and safety

Some areas, such as parts of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, need permits or local escorts. We arrange them. Read our guide to travelling in Bangladesh.
